Marcia J. Berger, P.E., L.S.P., PresidentMs Berger is a Registered Professional Engineer and Licensed Site Professional in Massachusetts with over 30 years experience in assessment and successful cleanup of oil and hazardous waste contaminated properties.  Ms Berger has conducted several thousand environmental site assessments and remedial engineering and implementation projects for both the public and private sectors as company owner and manager. 

Ms Berger previously worked for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) in the wastewater and hazardous waste site cleanup divisions.  She has developed and filed patent applications for several innovative environmental technologies.  Ms Berger holds a M.S. in Civil Engineering with a major in Water and Wastewater Engineering from Northeastern University, studied Groundwater Hydrology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and  has a B.A. in Ecology and Microbiology from Hampshire College.

Joel A. Lord, L.A., Field Operations ManagerJoel Lord has over twenty years of experience managing site work.   He has worked with Ms Berger for over ten years on managing and inspecting field operations for small, one-day operations to multi-million dollar environmental construction projects.   As a Registered Landscape Architect in Massachusetts and Maine, his knowledge of construction management contributes to his effectiveness in planning, inspecting and directing field work as well as overseeing the maintenance of field equipment.  Mr. Lord has a B.A. in Landscape Architecture from Colorado State University.  

Robert Houghton, Site Assessment Director: Robert Houghton is a hydrogeologist with 45 years experience, including 15 years of research and management with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the U.S. Geological Survey.  He has performed hundreds of environmental site assessments in accordance with ASTM requirements, conducted numerous indoor air quality and vapor intrusion assessments, prepared numerous Massachusetts Contingency Plan reports, and managed assessment and remedial activities at hundreds of government and private sites.    He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed research reports and books, and has prepared numerous construction operations plans for infrastructure projects.  Mr. Houghton has a B.A. in geology from Hope College and 5 years of graduate-level geochemistry studies at MIT.

R. Wayne Crandlemere, Environmental Professional and Chemist: Mr. Crandlemere has nearly 50 years experience working as an analytical and research chemist in the insurance investigation and pharmaceutical industries, a college instructor, and as an environmental scientist. Mr. Crandlemere held senior managerial positions in several major environmental firms including Briggs Engineering and Green Environmental and co-founded and was President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Certified Engineering & Testing with 11 offices located nationally. Mr. Crandlemere is an active member of several ASTM committees, including E50 on Environmental Assessment, Risk Management, and Corrective Action; E47 on Biological Effects and Environmental Fate; and E60 on Building Sustainability. He has a B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry from Suffolk University.
