Marcia J. Berger

President

 Ms Berger is a Registered Professional Engineer and Licensed Site Professional in Massachusetts with over 35 years experience in assessment and cleanup of oil and hazardous waste contaminated properties.  As company founder, Ms Berger has conducted thousands of environmental site assessments and remedial engineering and implementation projects for both the public and private sectors. She has also performed various municipal water, wastewater and stormwater engineering projects primarily in facility planning, design/build, construction oversight, utility inspection, testing and operation. She has also performed many subsurface hydrogeological studies.   

Ms Berger previously worked for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) in the wastewater and hazardous waste site cleanup divisions.  She performs ongoing research and development for environmental technologies and has a patent for an innovative wastewater treatment process.  Ms Berger holds a M.S. in Civil Engineering with a major in Water and Wastewater Engineering from Northeastern University, studied Groundwater Hydrology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has a B.A. in Ecology and Microbiology from Hampshire College.

Kenneth Mackler

Mr. Mackler has extensive experience in business operations, financial and administrative functions in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors.  He has earned an MBA from Bentley University; a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University; and an Associates in Electrical Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Eileen McMahon

Ms. McMahon has over thirty years of professional experience in the development and management of mechanical, electronic and computer based systems for large and small companies including Analog Devices, Apple Computer, City of Boston, General Electric, Microsoft, MIT, Raytheon and Universal Studios. Eileen holds degrees from Bennington College, Fitchburg State and Harvard University.

Maxim Frolov

Mr. Frolov has three years of experience working for Clean Properties on ASTM and MCP site assessment and site remediation.  He has developed specialized skills in conducted human risk assessments for MCP sites and groundwater models for evaluating the spread of contaminants and evaluating subsurface capacities to absorb water.  He studied physics at Moscow University and earned a B.S.  in Game Design with a Computer Science minor from Fitchburg State University.

Environmental Technician

Eli Lord

Mr. Lord has worked for Clean Properties approximately five years collectively. He has experience in environmental field work, including groundwater sampling, groundwater dewatering and quality management at construction sites, utility location, vacuum excavation, and site development. He is also experienced in managing and conducting technical education courses. He has a BS in Game Design with a Computer Science minor from Fitchburg State University.

Chris Winter

Mr. Winter works at Clean Properties on projects involving environmental sensing equipment, and environmental research. He has over 40 years of experience as a software engineer, a PhD in Physics from Northwestern University, and multiple publications in top-cited journals.

Steve Swartz

Mr. Swartz is a researcher at Clean Properties with expertise in optical engineering, trace gas spectroscopy, and precision optical measurement. He has over 25 years of experience in physics research, and has ran an independent optics and photonics company for over 10 years. He has a PhD in Atomic and Molecular Physics from the University of Colorado, Boulder under Nobel Prize physicist Jan Hall, and numerous publications on optics in leading scientific journals.

Ms. Prince is interning at Clean Properties as an environmental scientist. She in the process of obtaining her integrated MS in Biological Sciences at the University of Birmingham, UK. Her work at Clean Properties includes environmental field work, article authoring, research, and web design.
