We work with municipalities Interested in expanding their existing wastewater collection and treatment systems. We have conducted field sampling, performed inspections of potential facility sites and pipeline routes, analyzed system needs, created models for preliminary design and sizing,and gathered integrated water protection and geological information in order to develop approaches that are both affordable and sustainable. We have also conducted affordability analyses for treatment plant expansion in accordance with USEPA guidelines. Clean Properties’ president previously worked in the federal construction grants program for northeast Massachusetts and has an understanding of state and federal grants programs.

Projects have included pump station expansions, localized collection and treatment systems, evaluation of community need for public wastewater collection and treatment 9, conducting wastewater treatment facility site comparisons, planning pumping tests for new water sources and comparing water replacement source alternatives for Superfund sites. We have also developed alternative scenarios for communities that as yet have no public systems in place including comparing the cost of conveying waste to neighboring communities versus building their own wastewater treatment facility.

Needs analysis begins with surface water quality testing.  Clean Properties has conducted a number of community-wide surface water quality testing projects.  We have worked in both freshwater and marine coastal water.
