Clean Properties has conducted thousands of environmental site assessments on virtually all types of properties with a focus on Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We have in depth knowledge and experience with client needs leading our decision-making process.
Even if environmental problems are found, we have the capability to solve many of them. By applying our regulatory insights and human risk assessment capability we can compare concentrations with actual risk instead of the established standards, and have years of pioneering experience with bioremediation and other lower cost cleanup technologies should cleanup be necessary. In addition we have the working knowledge of various cost recovery approaches that can be applied to finance your cleanup. Our site assessments provide our customers with a means to move forward with their business plans.
Indoor air testing, our most recently added capability, provides real time data on specific air toxins at low concentrations even down to parts per billion! This testing provides you with a good idea of what your cleanup requirements may be without having to commit to obtaining knowledge that would have to be reported to a state agency. This can also help you determine on the spot where the contaminants may be coming from. Perhaps it is from products you are storing as opposed to being an environmental issue.
Property assessment is important legally and financially. If you sell your property and later contamination of any kind is found there, you want to be able to prove that you weren’t responsible for it. Clean Properties has conducted hundreds of site assessments on the behalf of banks, industries, and buyers relative to properties all around Massachusetts and New England, assembling comprehensive reports on property history and chemical use to provide protection for potential buyers.
A spill of hazardous material may not always be as bad as you think. Every situation is different and we are experienced with the regulatory standards for evaluating their risk. There’s no need to make a mountain out of molehills, let us help you make sure you’re not doing more than you have to.
Clean Properties has the certifications and experience to meet the stringent requirements of the Mass Contingency Plan (MCP) for all clean up activities including for Phases 1 – 5 assessments and submittals as well as for contaminated ground water treatment systems, septic systems, water supply and assessing properties for human occupancy. Applicable licenses include: Licensed Site Professionals (LSP), Registered Professional Sanitary Engineer, Licensed Wastewater Treatment Operator, Registered Sanitarian, Licensed Construction Supervisor, and Certified Title 5 Inspector.
Banks sometimes require evaluation of property life cycle maintenance and replacement costs.
